Provena is a living provenance record for the visual art ecosystem in Aotearoa New Zealand. It connects a work's making, ownership, and care over time into one shared source, so its story doesn't depend on any one person to remember it. Developed through practice-based research, it explores how digital infrastructure can support the stewardship, authentication, and preservation of artworks long after the artist is no longer here to tell them.
